Ana Inés Jabares Pita is a Spanish, London-based stage and spatial designer working internationally across opera, performance and installation. Her practice explores the relationship between music, space and collective experience, creating environments that shift how an audience sees, hears and moves through a work.

With a background in music and visual art, Ana Inés approaches space as a structure that can carry rhythm, atmosphere and narrative as much as performers or text. Her work ranges from opera and large-scale performance to immersive and site-specific installations, bringing together architecture, material, movement and sound.

She has designed for the Royal Opera House, Glyndebourne and the Royal Shakespeare Company, and her work has been recognised with the Linbury Prize and Jerwood Young Designer Award and is held in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. Ana Inés is increasingly interested in expanding scenography into other cultural spaces and formats — from concerts and immersive experiences to large-scale events. Her work is driven by a desire to make ambitious, generous environments that bring people together.
